DESCRIPTION:Palais Bénédictine à Fécamp\nL’histoire commence en 1510 à l‘Abbaye de Fécamp. Un moine bénédictin\, Dom Bernardo Vincelli\, crée un élixir secret particulièrement apprécié par le roi François 1er lors de son passage à l’abbaye qui selon la légende aurait déclaré : “Foy de gentilhomme\, oncques n‘en aurait goustai de meilleur.“ \nAprès la période agitée de la Révolution francaise\, la recette est perdue\, mais en 1865\, Alexandre Le Grand\, fécampois et négociant\, redécouvre la recette dans un manuscrit de sa bibliothèque. Il invente la liqueur Bénédictine en hommage au moine bénédictin. Homme cultivé et grand amateur d’art\, Alexandre Le Grand fait construire le Palais Bénédictine d’inspiration néo gothique et néorenaissance où cohabitent une distillerie et un musée\, d’où son surnom de «Versailles industriel» \nNous visiterons cet espace hybride où se mêlent art et industrie\, créé par un personnage rêveur et visionnaire\, véritable génie du marketing\, pionnier de la publicité internationale et des affiches réalisées par de grands artistes (Mucha).
