DESCRIPTION:Abbaye de Juaye-Mondaye\nTout près de Bayeux\, l’abbaye de Juaye Mondaye forme un bel ensemble classique du XVIIIe siècle\, au bord de l’Aure qui abrite toujours la communauté des chanoines de l’ordre des Prémontrés. \nFondée en 1202\, c’est au XVIIIe siècle que l’abbaye connaît sa période la plus florissante avec la reconstruction du monastère par le Père Eustache Restout (1655-1743)\, religieux prémontré\, qui fut aussi peintre et architecte issu d’une grande famille normande. Lors de la visite\, on peut admirer les bâtiments conventuels (cloître\, chapître\, réfectoire\, cellules) et l’église abbatiale\, tels qu’ils ont été achevés en 1745 et récemment restaurés . \nUne grande ferme et ses annexes font aussi partie de l’ensemble qui offre une architecture aux proportions particulièrement harmonieuses. Les bâtiments abbatiaux\, constitués d’un réfectoire\, d’une sacristie et d’une bibliothèque riche de 50 000 ouvrages sont ouverts à une visite guidée par un religieux.
